Biography 

Hello! I'm Ziad Hussien, a 33 years old accomplished Business Developer with over a decade of experience in the dynamic fields of business development and training. Based in Linz, Austria, I excel at crafting innovative account-based marketing campaigns, developing strategic prospect relationships, building outreach cadences that really convert and leading high-performance business development teams towards achieving their goals.

 

A Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of Ottawa, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. Native in both English and Arabic, I bring a unique capability to connect with and cater to a diverse client base across different regions and cultures.

 

I'm deeply passionate about technology and innovation. I thrive on forging new partnerships and helping businesses scale and succeed—these are the things that wake me up each day. 


Originally born in Manhattan, New York, but raised in Houston, Texas—the BBQ Capital of the World—I carry my love for southern American BBQ into my culinary skills, frequently hosting friends over for some good ol’ BBQ ribs and steak. As you can see, I love food! 

 

In my personal time, I am a pianist / composer, an avid reader, poet, cat father and soon to be DAD to a baby girl named Ayla! :D

Professional Journey 

My professional journey includes impactful roles at SaaS companies like CELUM, where I am entrusted with business development in the international markets, meaning outside the DACH region. Previously, I accelerated business initiatives at Storyclash bringing in first time business from the MENA region. At TeamViewer, I expanded market reach through innovative business development processes and strategic account-based marketing campaigns targeting C-levels at top banks, insurance companies, and retail brands.

My Backbone Biz-Dev Strategy for Enterprises

Research Phase: At the core of my strategy is a comprehensive Research Phase. This involves a meticulous analysis of focus accounts, where I delve into annual reports, LinkedIn activities, and their broader online presence to gain a deep understanding of potential clients' needs and challenges. This groundwork allows me to tailor my approach meticulously, enhancing the likelihood of a positive response and effectiveness of my outreach.

 

ABM Campaign Development Phase: Leveraging insights from the Research Phase, I develop tailored Account Based Marketing campaigns for each focus account. This approach merges in-depth account knowledge with personalized marketing efforts. My campaigns, designed to deeply engage my target audience, use previously gathered data to craft relevant, compelling messages. By aligning our strategies with the account's specific challenges and objectives, I ensure that each interaction with prospects adds value, nurturing prospects towards a sale and boosting conversion rates.

 

Targeted Outreach: The culmination of my efforts is the Targeted Outreach Phase. Here, I employ a multi-step outbound sequence utilizing various communication channels—phone, email, social media, and even handwritten letters. This phase is characterized by highly personalized and customized communications that are designed to capture attention and prompt action. My ultimate objective is to secure a discovery call, setting the stage for a personalized campaign that significantly increases the likelihood of advancing prospects through the sales funnel toward a successful close.

My Philosophy 

My approach integrates a deep understanding of prospect needs with tailored communication strategies, a skill set refined through my years in outbound business development. I believe in building genuine connections through active listening and adapting to prospect expectations, which has consistently helped me exceed organizational goals.

My Current Role at CELUM

I am currently thriving in a challenging yet fulfilling role at CELUM, a leader in product content and brand management solutions. Here, I am deeply engaged in managing and expanding client relationships internationally, outside the DACH region. The complexity of navigating diverse markets adds to the challenge, but the quality of our solutions makes each effort profoundly rewarding.

 

Our product is at the forefront of innovation in managing digital assets, simplifying and enhancing the way companies handle their brand and product content. This role not only allows me to leverage my strategic business development skills but also to work alongside a team of exceptionally talented and supportive colleagues. Their dedication and the collaborative work culture at CELUM contribute significantly to my professional satisfaction and growth.
